He'll Kill Me...He'll Kill Me Not...He'll Kill Me...

Welcome to the Guild Hall, traveller. Today there was a rider in the night, bearing tidings from the Flora-Buds. The required the assistance of the Crafters Guild in defending their small settlement from an evil wizard who calls himself the Petal Picker. As the Flora-Buds are pretty much the most adorable race ever, and it’s the right thing to do, myself and my fellow guildys were eager to help. I donned my armour (luckily I don’t need my furs anymore) and cloak, strapped my great bow to my back and saddled Ruffles. The Lady Commander of Copics, Guardian of Glitter and I rode hard for four hours to reach the Flora-Buds settlement, and sure enough, Petal Picker was there, already crushing the poor flower people to bits.

This card was created for the Creative Card Crew’s “Handmade Flowers” challenge happening now. Our sponsor this fortnight is Birdie Brown and you can win three digis from her shop for playing along! Trust me, you’ll have a hard time selecting only three as they are all incredibly adorable!

I used the flowers from the set called “Hearts Sing”. I liked them because they reminded me of a fire flower from Mario and the sunflower from Plants vs Zombie respectively...videogame girl at heart :) I coloured them up using Prismacolors and cut them out, earning myself +391 fussy cut exp points. The sentiment also comes with that set, and I printed that off and mounted it on some yellow cardstock. My handmade flowers I cut out using the Art Philosophy cartridge. I cut two of the same shape in different sizes and after inking the edges, attached them together with a brad. Some green twine finished off the card front.

On the inside I used a scrap of the background paper I had left and then stamped the sentiment and flowers using the Unity “Naturally You” set.

I stamped more of those flowers on the envelope to make it all matchy-match.

This card will blossom in the following challenges:

After an intense battle, we managed to vanquish the evil Petal Picker, saving the Flora-Buds from an untimely death. The cute flower people were all very thankful, as they don’t have the means to wield weapons themselves. I don’t envy them the task of rebuilding their settlement. Perhaps I shall send out a score of house gnomes to help them with the task.
