Welcome to the Guild Hall. As summer draws to a close the leaves on the trees are rapidly changing colours and beginning their descent back down to the earth. As soon as there are enough to form even the slightest semblance of a “pile”, the stitchy bears begin to emerge and frolic in the crunchy autumn flowers. As I was sipping my morning coffee, I spotted a stitchy bear in our yard, methodically gathering the few leaves that had fallen into a tiny pile then running as fast as he could, his yellow scarf trailing behind him, before diving into the leaves.
This card was created for the Just Some Lines September Challenge that is happening now! The theme this month is Autumn/Fall or Back to School. Come play along with a JSL image for a chance to win a digi! Woot!
I started this card by colouring the Just For Lines Autumn Bear image using my Prismacolor pencils. The leaves I cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped them with various colours of Distress Ink using the coordinating Close to My Heart stamp. I then crumpled them up and unfolded them to make them look more leaf-like with some crunkly dimension. This also earned me +392 dimensional exp points! I cut the little banner and stamped the sentiment using the Unity “Celebrate Life” itty bitty.
On the inside I cut the tag using the Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped the sentiment with the My Pink Stamper “Birthday Crazy” set. Some left over leaves that didn’t really fit on the front of the card were glued to the inside.
I decorated the envelope by stamping the little leaf from the Lawn Fawn “Critters of the Forest” set and colouring them with Distress Markers.
This leafy creation will “fall” into the following challenges:

I was just about to wake the Lady Commander of Copics, knowing she would find the little guy simply adorable, when my direwolf also spotted the stitchy bear. Thinking he was a new play toy, Lycan bounded straight for him. The stitchy bear let out a little shriek before darting off into the woods, quickly disappearing amongst the red and orange foliage. Lycan was a little disappointed to say the least, sniffing around the yard searching for the fluffy guy.
