Holy Stitch! Hang Onto Your Buttons!

Greetings. I was asked to go on a crafty quest with the adventurers at Try it On Tuesday, using our tailor job skill points to create some sewing themed projects. Unfortunately I ran into some trouble with button eating demons, and my travel log was lost. I finally managed to recover it at a secret save point and was able to inscribe it here.

I started this card by colouring the Kraftin’ Kimmie “Lavender the Quilter” image using Prismacolor pencils, paper piecing the quilt. All the frames were die cut using the Lawn Fawn “Stitched Rectangles” set. The letters were die cut using the Lawn Fawn “Finley’s ABCs” set., earning me +90 cutty XP points. The buttons and sentiment were stamped using a Unity set.

This card will be stitched into the following challenges:

Let this be a lesson to all adventurers - do not travel with loose rainbow coloured buttons in your satchel lest you incur the wrath of button eating demons!

Polka the Demons in the Eye

Today the Lady Commander of Copics and I went to Cradle’s Grave, a massive flower field to the east, to collect a bouquet in anticipation of the arrival of our Lady Mother. The flowers growing in Cradle’s Grave are perfect for this sort of thing, as they are imbued with magic, allowing them to stay fresh for months. The only problem...the field is infested with demons.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is to Polka Dots. Make an ATC following this theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Just Some Lines.

This ATC will creep into the following challenges:

My sister and I managed to fight our way through Cradle’s Grave and collect some beautiful flowers that were sure to impress our Lady Mother. If only she knew what we went through. I got a dent in my new chest plate for crying out loud!

A Hearth Full of Rainbow Stones

This evening we were paid an unexpected visit by a rainbow paladin from the west. Slightly annoyed that we had to abruptly end our card duel, my sister and I welcomed the traveller to the Guild Hall; one does not simply turn away a rainbow paladin. She was low on mana and weary from her travels, so the Lady Commander of Copics and I provided her with some tonics and ether potions.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is to CASE one of the DT members. Make an ATC following this theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, The East Wind.

I started my ATC by colouring The East Wind image using Prismacolor pencils. The background I inked using some Distress Ink. I was going to leave it at that, and then decided to turn my ATC into a Hearthstone card, making mana, damage and health values for it. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for the blood drop, the Artbooking cartridge for the hexagon, the Artiste cartridge for the circle and sword (which was originally a neck tie), and the Birthday Bash cartridge for the numbers.

This ATC will creep into the following challenges:

It would seem our hospitality was not in vain, as the rainbow paladin rewarded us with a vial of valuable crafting dust. It was a shame I didn’t get to finish off my sister in the card duel however. I would have undoubtedly bested her, as I tend to do.

A Colourful Ceremony

Greetings. Thank you for stopping by the Guild Hall today. Today the Lady Commander of Copics performed the Butterfly Ceremony of old, hoping to gain favour with the nature gods. Donning her headband of +80 mana, she released the colourful creatures into the sky, speaking the holy incantation.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is Groovy Chicks. Make an ATC following this theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, All Dressed Up.

I started my ATC by watercolouring the All Dressed Up image using Distress Markers. The background was stamped with some groovy images from the CAS-Ual Fridays “Exclamations” set. The sentiment also came from that set.

This ATC will creep into the following challenges:

As the butterflies flew away, tiny flecks of rainbow sparkles began to fall from their wings landing on the Lady Commander of Copics. I smiled as she was soon covered in colourful glitter. The ceremony had worked.

The Christmas Ghoul

Today as we were doing some spring cleaning around the Guild Hall, the Lady Commander of Copics came across a small Christmas Ghoul. She has been holed up since last December, snatching food from the kitchens. As she seemed harmless, and in her boredom reorganized all our Christmas decorations in the attic, we decided to leave her be.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is April Fools or Your Favourite Holiday. Make an ATC following this theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Creepy Cute Stamps.

I started my ATC by colouring the Creepy Cute Stamps image using Prismacolor pencils. I figured her dress needed to look a little more Christmasy so I stamped it with a little snowflake from the Lawn Fawn “Critters in the Arctic” set. This earned me +90 fashionable XP. The holly for her hair was stamped using the Lawn Fawn “Winter Gifts” set and coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen on her dress and the holly in her hair for some extra Christmas sparkle and +111 glittery XP. The snowflakes for the background were die cut using the Lawn Fawn “Stitched Snowflakes” die set. I had to add a sentiment, so stamped one using the Dylusions “Christmas Words” set.

This ATC will creep into the following challenges:

The Christmas Ghoul was a silent creature, never speaking as she went about her business. I don’t know if this would come back to haunt us later, but for now her organizational tendencies were enough to make me want to keep her around.

A Small Exchange

Salutations. Welcome to the Guild Hall. Today we are entertaining a visitor from the far off eastern realm of Aziana. The little botanist brought some rare foreign plants and herbs with her to trade for some of our indigenous flora. This is a great boon to the Crafters Guild as our stocks were running low on these exotic plants. With the cherry blossoms alone we would be able to make numerous tonics and elixirs.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is Cherry Blossoms. Make an ATC following this theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Lacy Sunshine.

This ATC will blossom in the following challenges:

As I began separating the newly acquired plants into jars and labeling them, the Lady Commander of Copics and Guardian of Glitter introduced our small foreign friend to the joys of Mario Party. It was going to be a long night of giggles.

Spring into Action

As the days grow longer, the weather has become increasingly more pleasant. As I was putzing around the Guild Hall grounds, trying to get things cleaned up after the melt I noticed some geese flying overhead, returning from their trip to the south. The biggest sign that Spring was on the way however, was when I spotted a pink flower fairy fluttering around the garden, gracefully planting seeds that would bloom into a rainbow of colour in a couple months.

This week the theme at Wicked Wednesday is Spring is in the Air. Make an ATC with a springy theme for a chance to win a prize from our sponsors, A Day For Daisies and Nana Vic’s Digitals.

For my first ATC I used an image from Nana Vic’s Digitals. I coloured it using Prismacolor pencils and inked the edges with Distress Ink. The sentiment was stamped with the Crafty Secrets “Couple of Cuties” set.

This ATC will cheep into the following challenges:

For my second ATC I used the A Day For Daisies “Curly Flower Fairy” image and coloured it using Prismacolor pencils. The leafy things I stamped using the Lawn Fawn “Critters Down Under” set. I then cast a sparkle spell using my Wink of Stella wand to add some glitter to the leaves and the fairies wings.
