Holly, That's a Lot of Demons!

Welcome to the Guild Hall. As we enter the final moon’s cycle of the year, the preparations for the Winter Festival are in full swing across the realm. Today the Lady Commander of Copics and I travelled to Holly’s Gulch to collect some of the red berried sprigs that grow there. The area is known to be overrun by vicious mustak demons, so we loaded up on weapons and elixirs for the quest. Although dangerous, Holly’s Gulch has the most abundant source of holly trees in the realm, and we weren’t about to let some pesky demons stop us from acquiring Christmas decorating supplies.

I made these Christmasy post-it note holders for the girls in my office (which I’ll be giving them tomorrow so they can use them throughout December). These were super fast to make and a good way to use up scraps of paper.
Ooooo...shiny.
I cut the scalloped circles out using the Art Philosophy cartridge and embossed the white part with my Cuttlebug. The holly I cut using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and added the lines with a white gel pen. I stamped the banners using the Lawn Fawn “Bannerific” set and added the sentiment (which is a Unity stamp). That’s it. Then just pop in the post-it notes and call it a day. This project earned me +888 speed exp points, which will surely help me in my other quests.

These post-it note holders will stick themselves in the following challenges:
Since we were last in the gulch, it seems the mustak demons have tripled in number. Luckily, the Lady Commander and I were able to fend them off long enough to collect the holly we needed. We battled our way to the exit of the ravine, our health tonics running low. We were just about out of the gulch when a hoard of mustaks appeared, cutting us off from the exit. As we were now boxed in, I decided to take a chance and use my remaining mana points to cast an escape spell. Luckily I rolled high and the spell was a success, transporting us safetly back to the Guild Hall.

A Juicy Ant Attack

The weather has been unseasonably warm in the realm as of late, everyone finding it tough to cool down. The Lady Commander of Copics and I decided to pack a little picnic and take my direwolf and her daemon feline to the lakeside to play in the water. We spread out a blanket and broke into the watermelon slices Angela had packed. As soon as I bit into the first piece, we were ambushed by giant guardian ants! Luckily a Guildy never leaves home without a full arsenal of weapons.

I had so much fun making the first post-it note holder, I was delighted when a coworker asked me to make one for her. Well not for herself...she had purchased this card from me and when she saw the cute bear post-it note holder I made, she requested a watermelon one to go with the card she was giving to someone. Phew...that’s probably a whole lot of information you didn’t need. Moving on...

I cut the watermelon out using the Doodlecharms cartridge and added some shading with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. The cute little ants I stamped using the Lawn Fawn “Happy Summer” set.

On the inside top flap I stamped the sentiment using the My Little Shoebox “Oasis” set. I then stamped some more of those adorable ants around it. I used the magnet strips on this again to keep it closed, which gave me enough experience to level up my metal magic.

I went through the pad (being careful not to bend it this time) and stamped some ants throughout. I stole borrowed a stack of post-it notes from the wagon repair shop, where I work to make some extra gold coins, so I will be making a bunch more of these cute holders!

This colourful craft will be taking notes in the following challenges:

Despite their menacing name, the guardian ants were quickly dispatched by the Lady Commander and I. I didn’t even have to use a single tonic potion in the battle. Hopefully those baddies learned not to invade our picnic again!

Teddy Bear Council Meeting

Today is the great meeting of the teddy bear council. Usually this conference is held in their homeland of Stuffington, however they have experienced massive flooding these last two days and have had to evacuate all their villages, the little bears taking shelter in nearby settlements. As an ambassador for the Crafters Guild I sit on the teddy bear council to bring forth Guild related issues. I figured crafting a new accessory to increase my note taking skills by +60 points would be just the thing for this meeting.

I made this post-it note holder for the Just Some Lines Anything Goes Challenge reminder post. Just make anything using a JSL image (there’s a freebie provided) and you can win some JSL digis! Easy!

I started this fun post-it note holder by colouring in the Just Some Lines teddy bear using Prismacolor pencils. I punched him out with my circle punch and then cut out the blue shape using the Art Philosophy cartridge to place behind him. If you recognize the paper I’ve used for this, it’s because it was the leftover strip from this card I just posted.

I stamped the inside top flap using the Unity “Lightbulb Moment” set. The magnets I just got at Wal-Mart. They come in long strips and I simply cut little squares, using them to help keep the flap closed...also magnets are fun and earned me +60 metal elemental exp points.

I stamped some fun images throughout the post-it pad - not on every sheet...but on lots of them :) Also managed to slightly bend the post-it pad in the process. Oopsies :(

This bear will stick to the following challenges:

With my new note accessory in hand, I threw on a clean tunic and headed to the meeting. I do hope they serve something other than stuffing for snacks this time...sigh...Perhaps I should have had Olga prepare me a sandwich.
