A Skinny Armed Snowman

Greetings traveller. With the ground covered in a fresh blanket of white snow everyone’s minds have jumped ahead to the coming Christmas holiday. As such we have seen an influx of holiday quest requests coming through the Guild Hall. Today I completed one such quest for a young lass from the village who wanted a skinny armed snowman slain. I could see why she'd want the adorable snowman's image transferred onto a Christmas card, but I still felt a little bad felling the chap.

I stamped the snowman image by Whipper Snapper Designs on watercolour paper and coloured him using Distress Markers and the fabled Hydra Brush I was finally able to procure after many quests. I earned +300 exp points for colouring another project with Distress Markers which, according to my stats sheet, allowed me to level up that skill! The sentiment was stamped from the My Pink Stamper “Christmas Wishes“ set. I cut the snowflake using the Art Philosophy cartridge and ran it and that background strip through the Cuttlebug. I then used a sanding block to distress the embossing part and make it “white” so it stands out better.
The inside sentiment came from the My Pink Stamper “Biggie Christmas Sentiments” set. That snowflake was cut out from the Art Philosophy cartridge as well (I actually cut that one first for the front of the card and decided it was too small, so used it for the inside – teehee).
I stamped the star do-dad from the Tim Holtz “Christmas Memories” set on the envelope to make it all matchy and stuff.

I will be entering this chilly card into the following challenges:
Divas By Design Challenge #59: Feeling Festive?
One Crazy Stamper November Challenge: Anything Goes
Card Crafter’s Circle Challenge #47: Patterned Paper
Christmas Stampin’ All Year Long Challenge #35: Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz Challenge #43: Cooking Up a Recipe!
Creative Craft Challenges2: Special Occasion – Not Birthday
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #25: Stripes
Hooked On Craft Challenge #26: Christmas – No Red/Green
Sparkles Christmas Challenge #22: Contemporary Colour Combo
52 Christmas Card Throwdown November Sketch Challenge

With that quest done, it’s on to the next one. The ravens and owls have not stopped bringing in the requests and the house gnomes are having trouble gathering all the post from the rookery. It certainly IS the most wonderful time of the year *sigh*.
