Today
there was a little mishap at the Guild Hall. The Lady Commander of
Copics decided to assist the house gnomes in planting some tulips to
adorn the grounds for our lady mother’s impending visiting. As she was
planting them however, she seemed to be handling them too rough as the
petals kept breaking off. Being the crafty guildy she is (and ignorant
of proper flower care), the Lady Commander quickly fetched her glue from
the crafting chambers and proceeded to glue the petals back on the
tulips. Stepping back to admire her work she smiled, thinking herself
rather clever. As she leaned over to smell the blossom she had just
repaired, that’s when it happened.
This card was created for the reminder post about the Just Some Lines “For Mom” Challenge that is happening now!
I
started this card by creating the background using Dylusions spray
inks, a stencil and a Dylusions stamp from the “Bordering on the Edge”
set. I coloured the Just Some Lines “Emo Tulip”
image using Prismacolors. I added the word “mom” using some puffy
sparkly stickers that were given to me by one of the machinists who
works at the carriage and wagon repair shop in the village. This earned
me +281 sticky exp points which will assist me in future glue related
quests I’m sure. Some brads and ribbon finished off the front.
On the inside I stamped the sentiments using two different Unity sets “So Deer to Me” and “Encircled Love”.
On
the envelope I used the same stamp from “Bordering on the Edge” and
inked it using two different Distress Inks to match the colour scheme of
the card from.
This colourful creation will be hanging out in the following challenges:
I came outside and saw the Lady Commander still sniffing the flower. “I didn’t know you were into tulips so much,” I commented, chuckling as I walked towards her.
“Mfphing nfis,” the Lady Commander mumbled.
I
looked at her confused, not understanding what she was saying. I
activated our sister psychic powers and spoke to her using only our
minds. “What are you trying to say?!” I asked.
“I tried using glue to fix the petals, and now the flower is stuck to my face!” came the desperate reply.
I did the only thing a good sister would do...I burst out laughing.
