Greetings and salutations. Today as I was checking the rockery for new post, I noticed a strange raven perched atop the rafters. What made the raven odd was the fact that he was wearing a birthday hat upon his small head. He noticed I was looking at him and let out a loud squawk before flying down so I could reach the message attached to his leg. I unfurled the scroll and read what appeared to be an invitation to a nameday celebration in the elven village of Urtan. I was suspicious as we haven’t been on good terms with Urtan since it was discovered they were smuggling colour gems to the dark dwarves who refined them into an illegal drug that was sold on the blackmarket. Not knowing if I was walking into a trap, I readied myself and the rest of the Guildys to head to Urtan.
I started this ATC by stamping the border using the Dylusions “Further Around the Edge” set. The cupcake is from a Close to My Heart set, which I stamped using Archival ink.
I coloured it in using Distress markers then added some Glossy Accents and glittery “sprinkles” to the top, earning me +291 delicious sparkley exp points. The bird I stamped using the Dylusions “Birds on a Wire” set then gave him a little birthday hat and coloured it with Distress Markers. The yellow “whooshes” I added to the background using the Lawn Fawn “My Cup of Tea” set.
This birthday raven will fly into the following challenges:
Catch the Bug September Anything Goes Challenge
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Stamping All-Stars (Archival black ink - couldn’t craft without it!)
When we arrived at the elven village the party was already in full swing. As we threaded our way through the dancing elves, I kept my hand on the hilt of my sword, expecting to be ambushed at any moment. It was then I noticed the Guardian of Glitter was no longer with us. The Lady Commander of Copics and I looked around frantically, but could see no sign of her. Not knowing whether she had wandered off on her own or had been taken, we decided to stick together and start searching for her. Splitting up was always a bad idea!
