Mysterious Green Knowledge

Continued from A Birthday Raven Arrives...

As the Lady Commander of Copics and I searched for the Guardian of Glitter amongst the guests at the elven party in Urtan we were getting more worried by the minute. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a small green light flashing in the distance, the only light in the inky darkness beyond the party. I squinted, not knowing if I had imagined it. Sure enough, about half a minute later, I saw the tiny emerald light again. “This way,” I hissed to my sister, clasping her hand. We slipped away from the celebrations and followed the flashing green dot right into the thick forest.

Allow me to walk you through the mind field (heh...see what I did there?) of my thought process for creating this ATC. *ahem* Hmmm...need something for a background. OOO! Haven’t used this harlequin stencil in awhile. Grabbed that and the first ink on the “green” stack and stenciled that on. Hmmm...now what? Maybe a border? Well my Dylusions binder is already open from making the last ATC, so I’ll just use one out of there. Grabbed “Bordering on the Edge” and stamped the border in the next shade of green on the stack. Now what…? Maybe an image or two. Well I’m too lazy to get off my chair and grab a different stamp binder so I’ll just use one out of the Dylusions binder again. Making design decisions out of sheer laziness gets me +371 sloth exp points. So I grabbed the “Dependable Dotty” set and stamped the skulls onto some coloured cardstock and cut them out (“100” reminds me of “old” which makes me think of skulls anyways).

I decided the background was still a little plain, so added another layer by grabbing the Tim Holtz “Reflections” set (don’t think I got ambitious...that’s just in the back of the Dylusions binder) and stamped the script writing in Antique Linen over top everything. Better. Skulls were now glued on. At first I was going to use brads in the corners, but then decided on googley eyes. Why you may ask? Because my green brads we allllllll the way across the room, and the googley eyes were in a bin at my feet. Lol.

This green ATC will creep into the following challenges:

I was uncertain as to whether the light was moving, or was always this far away, but it seemed we walked for quite awhile before coming to a circular clearing. We could no longer spot our tiny green guide as the whole clearing was glowing green. Two floating skulls materialized in the center, causing me to draw my sword.
In a husky voice, the skulls began to speak in unison. “She who sleeps, wakes with knowledge long forgotten. The knowledge sleeps only to be awoken upon the arrival of the forgotten tool.”
With that, they faded into the ether, leaving behind the Guardian of Glitter, slumped on the ground. Angela and I ran to her side, shaking her awake. She lifted her head, blinking her eyes, “What happened? W...where are we?”
Nikki seemed to remember nothing of what had transpired. “Let’s get out of here,” I said, tossing a precious escape portal stone on the ground. The three of us stepped through the portal emerging in the safety of the Guild Hall library.
