There's No Such Thing as TWO Many Blankets

As the sky gently drops fluffy white sparkles over the realm, creating a blanket of glistening snow, I am inside the Guild Hall, nestled deep in my furs with a coffee and good book. As I was searching for furs and blankets to cocoon myself in, I came across two that were gifted to me and my lord husband from his aunt. They were so soft and snuggly, I added them to my pile of blankets that I would wrap myself in next to the crackling fire.

I created this card as a thank you for my lord husband’s aunt, who did indeed make us two beautiful afghans. One was cream and the other was blue (hence the colours of the yarn). I cut the yarn balls from the “Country Life” cartridge. The ‘lil tag was stamped with a thank you sentiment from a cheap clear stamp set that came with my acrylic blocks. (I think it may be Fiskars?...not totally sure). I embossed the green background with my Cuttlebug using a folder that has different versions of “thank you” on it. That blue background paper is literally one of the very first sheets of patterned paper I EVER bought, three years ago! WOW I’m a paper hoarder. I lost -60 hoarder exp points for this card (luckily).

This yarn-tastic creation will knit itself into the following challenges:
Spark Your Creativity Now! Challenge #5: Anything Goes
Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #1: Use Ribbon
The Corrosive Challenge #165: Out with the Old (that blue background paper is 3 years old!)
Dream Valley Challenge #48: Anything Goes
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #143: Tag You’re It!
Friends of Speedy TV Challenge #54: Thank You Card
Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Embrace the Old (I embraced that ooooooold blue background paper! lol)

It’s lazy snuggly days like this that make me love winter. I find nothing more relaxing than nestling deep into a pile of fuzzy blankets while the temperatures plunge outside and frost forms icy patterns on the windows.
