Gold Coin Cache

Greetings. Today I came across a great boon whilst questing in the Whispering Woods. I decided to do some grinding for XP to level up a bit before our quest to Icy Land when my direwolf suddenly darted off in the opposite direction. Silently cursing, I took off after the beast. My anger at him was short lived when I spotted what he had been leading me to.

This card was created for the reminder about the Just Some Lines March challenge which is happening now. Our theme this month is Good Luck/St. Patrick’s Day. Come play along using a JSL image for your chance to win!

I started by colouring the Just Some Lines “Em Joy” image using Prismacolor pencils. Next I cut the pot of gold out using the Create-a-Critter 2 cartridge. I then used Art Philosophy to cut a bunch of tiny circles for the coins. Deep in my paper stash I found two patterned papers I’ve had forever and used those for the background. Last I dug out some sticker letters I got about two years ago and have yet to open the package and created the sentiment.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Top Tip Tuesday: 3, 5 or 7 (five letter stickers)

I don’t know how my direwolf knew to lead me to this spot, but I was thrilled with the chest of gold coins that looked as though it had been hastily hidden beneath the brush. By the looks of the rusted lock, it appeared to have been left quite awhile ago. I smashed the brittle lock with the hilt of my sword to access the small fortune inside. These coins would go a long way in fixing up the Guild Hall and replenishing our dwindling supplies after the harsh winter. I suppose I could buy a nice treat for my direwolf as well.
