Perils of Frost Point

Today the Guardian of Glitter and I spent the afternoon hunting down and battling the evil dragon, Black Fang, who was terrorizing the poor snowpeople of Blizzarton. We were lucky enough to have the help of two wandering adventurers - a halfling bard named Lem and a seasoned fighter called Valeros. As we worked our way through each quest across the snow covered region of Frost Point, we finally found ourselves deep within Black Fang’s lair. It was a lengthy battle, and we surely would have lost without the assistance of our new friends, but Nikki and I managed to prevail, saving the village of snowfolk.

I started this card (which I would later use a multiplying spell on to turn it into a set) by cutting the snowman using the Create-a-Critter 2 cartridge. I embossed his body using a snowflake folder and my Cuttlebug of +70 texturization. I added some googley eyes...because...well...why not, right? The sentiment I stamped using the Lawn Fawn “Cozy Christmas” set and the “Harold’s ABCs” set. I decided it also needed a little bling, so I added a sparkly snowflake embellishment which was a spoil from this year’s Autumn Guild Raid.

Ta-Da!! A set of snowman cards. To mix ‘em up a little, I swapped the patterned paper on two of them and used a different snowflake embossing folder. The envelopes I stamped using the Lawn Fawn “Yeti-Set-Go!” set.

I stamped different sentiments on each of the insides so they weren’t too samey and boring. I used Unity stamps, the Bug Bites “Mistletoe” set and Echo Park’s “Holly Jolly Christmas” set.

This set of snowmen will keep warm in the following challenges:
Pile it On Challenge #45: Show Us Your Tools (Used my Cricut machine and Cuttlebug)

The snowpeople were so grateful for our assistance, they bestowed upon us their legendary weapon, Frostbite - a powerful sword, which I was sure to put to good use. It feels good to help a people in need...even better to be rewarded so handsomely. Glorious, glorious loot...

I can so see why you would face all dangers and challenges to defend the Snow People of Blizzarton from the terrors of the Evil Black Fang, Just look how happy the Snowfolk are now that they have been released from the threat of such evil .... and the hero worship for their saviours is so apparent in the glow of their googly eyes.Great cards and a brilliantly entertaining post that I've enjoyed so much. Goood luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)
