The Cathedral's Secrets

Today my fellow guildys and I were exploring an old dusty cathedral, in search of an ancient vial of water blessed by the goddess of shimmer and light centuries ago. This magical water would prove to be an invaluable ingredient in creating new crafty accessories and supplies, allowing us to gain exp and level up much faster. We assumed there was a secret passageway in the old cathedral, and the Lady Commander of Copics proceeded to play an old organ, naturally assuming that would open the door. Unfortunately, all it did was cause a black angel of death to descend upon us, causing us to enter a battle.

I started by spritzing a piece of white cardstock with some Black Marble and Cherry Pie Dylusions spray ink to create the background. I decided it was still a little plain and added the “Worn Music” background stamp by Unity. I then stamped the boy from The Greeting Farm’s “Sweet & Toxic” set on black cardstock and cut him out. The sentiment I stamped using the Dylusions “Quintessential Quotes” set. Some ribbon and black buttons completed the front of this card.

On the inside I stamped some birds from the Unity “With Sympathy” set. I then added the birthday sentiment using the My Pink Stamper “Family & Friends” set.

I stamped more birds on the envelope using the Unity “Tail Feather” set, earning me +291 flight exp points.

This creation will fly into the following challenges:

As the battle started the Guardian of Glitter and Lady Commander used their dual tech - Sparkle Strike to lower the black angel’s HP by half, giving us a considerable advantage. I banked some MP points and just did a standard attack with my great bow, allowing the black angel to slam us with Death’s Kiss, dropping our HP by 80%. The Guardian of Glitter had to spend her next three turns healing us all, whilst the Lady Commander and I kept the dark angel at bay. In the end we were successful, and managed to level up from all the exp we received by defeating the foe. The search for the vial continues.

Mark...your card is very cool. I'd say "cute" but I don't think your little winged boy would like being thought of as "cute". haha Let's say it's a "handsome" card. :) I love your background. Very cool spritzed look. I like the splotches of red. That ribbon and the little buttons on the front really are a nice touch. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
