Today the Lady Commander of Copics and I decided to head to town as we’d heard there was a travelling inventor who had set up something called a “photo booth”. As we entered the market square we could see the line to use the device was already two score deep. Not wanting to wait in line, we instead observed how the machine worked. One would enter the booth, close the curtain and a light would flash. From the front a strip of pictures would print and the person would exit the booth from the rear, coming around to pay for and pick up their pictures. Only upon close observation did we notice that people were actually NOT exiting the device at all! Where were they all?
I started this black and white card by stamping the polaroid image using the Lawn Fawn “Say Cheese” set. I then stamped The Greeting Farm’s “Daisy” inside the frame and coloured her using Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment at the top came from the Lawn Fawn set, the one on the polaroid came from an Inkadinkado set called “Thoughts for the Day” and at the bottom I used Lawn Fawn’s “Smitty’s ABCs” to created the HB2U.
On the inside I created the sentiment using a combination of Lawn Fawn’s “On the Mend” and “Say Cheese” and the My Pink Stamper “Birthday Crazy” set, earning me +333 triple tech exp points.
The envelope I decorated using the Dylusions “Further Around the Edge” set.
This colourless creation will smile in the following challenges:
Something strange was definitely afoot as we had yet to see a single person come around to collect their photos. I snuck behind the inventor to the rear of the booth which was hidden behind some wooden walls that had been erected. There was clearly no rear door to the machine which begged the question - what became of those entering the booth? I used my dagger to slice the power cable to the booth so no more unsuspecting patrons could enter. This mystery would take some investigating.
