After
the banana poisoning incident, we felt it prudent to start the search
immediately for the potential assassin. We couldn’t have random deadly
desserts continuing to show up at the Guild Hall. I hailed the Lady
Commander of Copics and Guild Apprentice Lindsay so the four of us could
combine our magic levels and cast a massive locating spell. We all
downed some elixirs to ensure we had enough mana points, then began
casting Eyes on the Cardinal Points, a high level quad-tech spell.
So
let me start off by saying that I wasn’t super happy with the end
result of this card. Blech...but...they can’t all be winners. This one
was fairly simple. I stamped the eyes from the Dylusions “Dependable
Dotty”, coloured in the irises then added some Glossy Accents to them. Here...let me tilt it so you can see the glossiness:
Oooo...ahhhhh...{lol} Moving on...I
set those aside to dry. I then adhered a strip of textured paper,
following the sketch from retrosketches. I cut a banner shape from the
Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped the sentiment from the My Pink
Stamper “Birthday Crazy” set. The leaves I stamped using the Dylusions
“Further Around the Edge” set. That was it. Blam blam blam - assembled
everything, added a button with some thread and called ‘er a day.
The inside I stamped with the leaves and added a sentiment from the My Pink Stamper “Birthday Crazy” set.
I
carried the leaf theme onto the envelope and stamped it up to make it
all match. All these leaves earned me +183 earth magic exp, levelling up
that skill.
This card will be eyeing up the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland Challenge: Monochromatic
Love to Create Challenge #51: Let’s Celebrate
Spark Your Creativity Now! Challenge #6: Anything Goes
Retrosketches #49:
It
didn’t take long for our spell to activate, revealing the location of
the dessert making poisoner. The Guardian of Glitter broke the magic circle, slamming her sword
into its sheath. “Let’s go!” she exclaimed. “I will have that baker’s
head for what they’ve done!” Seems a little excessive to me...but who am
I to get in the way of a little banana fueled vengeance?
