Today
Guild Apprentice Lindsay was practicing attack spells in the training
room with the Lady Commander of Copics. Being a healer and more adept at
white magic, she seems to have trouble performing the attack spells. I thought it might be good for her to brush up on them, as we can run into some
pretty hairy situations where offensive spells are a necessity. I was in
the crafting chambers, struggling with a card for the Festival of Love,
when I heard a loud explosion come from the training room. I hurried
down to ensure there were no serious injuries. Angela lay on her back,
sprawled on the floor with Lindsay standing above her, an open spell
book in her hands. “You knocked my socks off!” the Lady Commander
exclaimed. And indeed a few feet away from her were two mismatched socks
that should have been on her feet. “That’s perfect!” I shouted, running
back to the crafting chambers, the other two staring at me, confused as
to my outburst.
Well...what is this now? Spritz card #4 I believe. I’ve got a red, green and yellow done
and now a pink one to add to the arsenal. As I did with the others, I
masked off the center strip and gave it a couple shots of Dylusions
spray ink. This time instead of embossing on the “seam” I embossed the
top and bottom of the card using the Cuttlebug and drew a black line on
the “seam” instead. The socks and sentiment I stamped using the Lawn
Fawn “My Silly Valentine” set. I added some pink buttons on the side and
that was that!
On
the inside I stamped the socks and sentiment using the “My Silly
Valentine” set again. Man this set has been getting quite the workout in
the last week! In fact, that accessory managed to level up from all the
exp it was gaining from these spritz cards! YES! Level 3 Stamp Set of
Silly Valentines!
On the envelope I spritzed some more pink ink (haha...that rhymed) and stamped some cute hearts from the “My Silly Valentine” set.
Before they start to stink, these socks will walk into the following challenges:
Emergency Crafters February Challenge: Romance
Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge #58: Valentine’s Day
MFP SpeedyTV Simple Salutations Challenge #31: Valentine’s Card
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #255: Love Struck!

Creative Craft Challenges2 Challenge #3: Hugs and Kisses
Dream Valley Challenge #50: Valentines
Fat Pages & Cards With Attitude Challenge #33: Be My Valentine
ATCs & Cards With Attitude Challenge #33: Be My Valentine
One Crazy Stamper February Love Challenge
Well,
it turns out all that practicing was beneficial as Lindsay leveled up
some of her offensive spells and will be better prepared for our next
battle. Angela ended up with another pair of socks full of holes, but I did manage to finish my card, which, in the end is all that really matters.
