Banana Cream Poison

Today as I was brushing my direwolf (a quest in itself) there came a knock on the Guild Hall door. I went to see who was calling on the Crafters Guild and standing there, holding a pie topped with fluffy whipped cream, was a woman I had never seen before in the village. “I just wanted to drop this off to say welcome to the neighbourhood,” she said handing me the dessert. Then without another word she rushed away. I was confused to say the least, as the Guild Hall has been a fixture in this area of the realm for quite some time. I was wary of eating the pie as the whole encounter felt suspicious, raising my guildy senses. I placed the pie on the kitchen counter just as the Guardian of Glitter was coming in. “Oooo...whatcha got there?” Nikki asked, already reaching for a fork. Before I could stop her she scooped a large bite into her mouth. Immediately she started gagging and spitting, falling to the floor clutching her throat. I instantly recognized the problem - the pie was full of bananas.

This was another one of my spritzy Valentine’s cards to join the red and green ones I had already made. I did say I was going to make a little army of these things :) So as I did with the others, I masked off the center and gave it a couple shots of Dylusions spray ink. This time I used two different shades of yellow (tough to tell in the picture, I know). I then used a border folder and my Cuttlebug to emboss the center. I stamped the sentiment and banana, which I coloured with Prismacolors, using Lawn Fawn’s “My Silly Valentine” set. I finished the front off with a couple pieces of yellow raffia.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment and the banana again from “My Silly Valentine.”

The envelope I spritzed with some spray ink and drew on the same line & dot pattern I did on the card to make it match. I then added some hearts to make it all lovey. As this was the third spritzy card I made, I earned +333 triple tech exp points, which will help when the Lady Commander of Copics, Guardian of Glitter and I are combining our magic skillz.

This banana-tastic creation will peel into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland Challenge: Monochromatic
Try It On Tuesday: Get Ready to Celebrate Valentines Day
Dream Valley Challenges #50: Valentines
One Crazy Stamper February Love Challenge
Desert Island Crafters Challenge #47 - Used: #1 (Love/Romance) #6 (Sentiment) #9 (String/Raffia)

Someone was clearly after the Guardian of Glitter to bring a pie full of bananas, which is her only weakness. I quickly cast a healing spell to dispel the bananas from her system and gave her a tonic to drink. Nikki sat up, still shaking from being weakened by the vile fruit. She looked up at me, fire burning in her eyes, “Someone’s going to pay.” Let the hunt begin.
